Even though this travel video is not really one of my more recent projects, it still belongs into my list of favorites. The video shows the highlight moments of a year of traveling around through the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. A compilation of the journey that completely changed my life.

Of course I had my doubts and insecurities. Quitting a job, giving up an apartment and leaving all loved ones behind for indefinite period in order to explore the world by yourself definitely wasn't always comfortable. But in the uncertainty that I felt, I also felt the enormous potential and freedom of life. Valuable aspects that can only meet you when you become comfortable with the feeling of not knowing.

Back then I already knew that creating visual content would become my future 'work'. The passion that I felt flowing through my body when I was creative with video making put me in turbo boost. And when I thought about what I could potentially create in the future if I would combine visual content creation with philosophical themes, all I felt was; yes, that's what I want!

Halfway through 2017 I had been traveling the world for a year already. In full focus on developing my skillset in filmmaking and building a video portfolio, so that I could realize my big career switch.
